Sisterhood Excursion to Houston Dairy Maids
Good Morning! Just a reminder about the upcoming Shavuot happenings On Thursday May 29th, we will meet at the TBT at 10:45 for our excursion to the Houston Dairy Maids to sample and purchase cheeses for Shavuot. The plan is to leave at 11:00 a.m. and come back by 2:00 ish so we can avoid the traffic. Our dairy holiday of Shavuot begins in June. In anticipation, we are having a dairy potluck to welcome our new members to our growing TBT community. May 30 at 5:30 pm is our potluck followed by a service and Oneg at the Temple. These are always fun and filled with good food and energy. Hi everyone, Our last book club meeting was about the book “A Most English Princess” by Clare McHugh. We agreed that the book was very long and very historical. We discussed this dysfunctional family and how its members might have and did change history. Our next book is “The Secret Life of Sunflowers” by Marta Molnar. The book intertwines the story of Emsley Wilson, a contemporary auctioneer, with the story of Johanna Bonger, Vincent van Gogh’s sister-in-law. Emsley discovers Johanna’s…
